Supporter: Matt Fetty
Clemson Rugby was such an important part of my 4-years at Clemson and has continued to be an important part of my life after graduation. The friendships I've fostered with those that played Clemson Rugby before me, along side me and after me are why I am so motivated to contribute to and support the Clemson Rugby Foundation. I truly feel that everyone who has played rugby at Clemson wants those who play after them to love being a part of the tradition that is Clemson and Clemson Rugby. As college athletics, the sport of rugby and the sport of rugby specifically at Clemson have had their ups and downs, I give to Clemson Rugby because I want to ensure that they are learning & playing the game of rugby at the highest level possible. I want to see the team thus continue to compete at the highest level and I want to them to take their experiences playing Clemson Rugby to future athletic & professional endeavors.

Most importantly though, I support Clemson Rugby & the CRF to ensure that it continues to make the college experience of those that play after me as special as it made mine. Most of us only get to go to college for 4 years (or 5, 6 or even 7 years if you're some of my friends ;-) ). The thing that I find special is the people I go back and see at Homecoming in TigerTown, visit for long weekends and play in 7s tournaments with are those friends I made playing rugby at Clemson. It's pretty crazy that after not seeing fellow Clemson Ruggers for weeks/months/years; when we do meet up, it feels like we're picking right back off where we left off.
I encourage you to think about the impact that Clemson Rugby had on your life and the person it made you today. Pick up the phone and call some of the guys you played with and haven't spoken to in a while; bring it up over Thanksgiving dinner; mention it to your friends as you're watching football on a Sunday afternoon or your coworkers that you see at work everyday. There are so many ways each of us can make a huge impact with just a little bit of work and it doesn't always have to be in the form of a financial contribution. As we close 2018, if you do have the funds to do so, I do encourage you to give a donation yourself if you can. But if you cannot, at least have Clemson Rugby on the top of your mind. There are others out there who can & are willing to help if asked and we need your help finding them.
